So apparently you have no response to my actual post, just an attack on Christianity that is ignorant of the bible, its history, and its purpose.

Religion has a long way to go to match the atheistic regimes of the twentieth century (Hitler, Stalin, Mao, et. al.) in terms of sheer brutality and numbers of killings. And as brtual as those evil regines were, even they are eclipsed by the killing field that is abortion, which, worldwide, has easily killed hundreds of millions of babies throughout history.

Attempting to have morality without a higher power makes people the arbiters of their own morality with no one to tell them that anything they do is wrong. That's how we get Hitler.

I state in the article, "It is not OK to abort a baby because the father is black." Yes. I can see how that makes me a racist (that's sarcasm, by the way).

If you believe in unrestricted abortion, then you must (by definition) believe that race is a valid reason for killing an unborn baby, which makes YOU the racist eugenic, not me.

In possibly the most bizarre statements I've ever read you state, "Abstinence is not going to prevent unwanted preganancies that lead to abortion." Unless you know something I don't know, not having sex means not creating a baby. Seems pretty self-evident to me and it works every time. Not so condoms and not so "birth control."

The problem with the left, and especially the men of the left, is that they want men to be able to use women for their own sexual pleasure and not have to take responsibility for the child that results from those actions. What kind of woman wants that kind of man?

Thanks for stopping by and for the kind words. I agree with you 100% that abortion does not liberate women. More often than not it harms them physically, psychologically, and emotionally. Abortion simply gives men a "get out of jail free" card and allows them to use women and avoid responsibility for the children they father.

I was already contemplating an expansion of these themes for another post; your comments have inspired me to get cracking on it. Stay tuned!

I just came across your post looking on google for something completely unrelated. but I had to comment, as it's something i've been thinking about for a while.
Equal rights movements and womens' lib groups will claim it's a victory for women that abortion is legal and free for all. I would argue that abortion is nothing but men's liberation. Freedom from responsibility, freedom from facing the consequences of their actions, and worst of all, it's freedom to sleep around without having to use condoms (do you know how many men say they can't have sex with condoms?!?!). They now pressure women into having unsafe sex, and if the results of that are pregnancy, they say it's not their problem, but they'll share the costs of the abortion.... it makes me laugh at all that women who think they've been liberated by the legalisation of abortion. Women are worse off, men are better off. It's a crazy world we live in that this is what women demanded... and I write this as a women who has friends who have experienced everything I've mentioned above. Keep up the good work!!

It is astounding that liberals so completely support a policy that is decimating the black community. In their most evil fantasies, the Klu Klux Klan could not have dreamed of a more effective way to eliminate the black population. If conservatives supported a policy that killed one-third of all unborn black babies, it would be the only story that any media outlet ever reported.

Check out my latest post "Can a Woman Abort a Baby Because It's Father is Black?" It's a question I would pay good money to hear asked of President Obama. Given his support of abortion, the only answer he can give is "yes" and that is simply disgraceful.

Of course, this is after the fact, but apparently, the argument by black liberation theology and so much of the radical black community that whites have suppressed them, now is being done by their own...not just suppression, but terrorism, and in the womb at that. And now, with a troubled economy, our taxpayer - or should I say, the middle class and rich who pay the taxes, dollars will not only continue the annihilation of the black and other populations, but now we are exporting it through the brush stroke of a pen in the very first days of the first African American President. That certainly is change for me, but not really. Reminds me of the cook book scenario of the Twilight Zone episode called "To serve man" it wasn’t till it was too late that they found out what “change” there would be. People of every race who supposedly believe in God and Christian values in this country, sacrificed that in order to insure that we made history with the first Black president...or was it that they didn't like Bush spending our tax money and soldiers in Iraq, or whatever, only to now have us not only terrorizing people in their homes in foreign countries, but now, with taxpayer dollars we're doing it in their women's wombs...millions of lives lost, versus the 4,000 + we've lost in war we knew we were fighting and really helping those people, even the disgruntled ones, get their lives back. In my blog I reference a tradition of: "...showing polite respect to visiting foreign leaders, even while expressing disagreement with their views." Any reasonable interpretation of polite respect should not include suggesting that a world leader is a puppet of the current administration.

Kerry is free to agree or disagree with the content of Allawi's speech, and is indeed free to make such comments. The point that is relevant is that he showed no sense of the diplomatic courtesy owed a visiting world leader. That suggests an undiplomatic nature that speaks directly to his inability to form the international coalition he claims to be uniquely suited to building.

And as for the body count "exercise", were we to use this standard of measure, neither the Revolutionary War, the Civil War, nor World War II would have lasted through the first month of our involvement. Soldiers sign up knowing they may die in combat. Each soldier's death is honored and grieved over, but the very nature of war suggests that deaths are unavoidable. Unless you suggest that America never go to war for any reason, there will continue to be combat deaths.

I choose to measure the success of a war by its accomplishments measured against its stated objectives. To wit: there is one less dictator in the world shooting at American fighter jets, one less dictator thumbing his nose at every United Nations decree, one less madman seeking biological, chemical, and nuclear weapons, one less barbarian torturing his population, one less nation friendly to terrorists who threaten America and the free world, and one more free nation taking a tiny step toward democracy, however tentative and uncertain that step may be.

Imagine, for just a moment, that every day 50 US Soldiers are being killed in Iraq, and Bush and Allawi stand up and say that everything is going swimmingly well and they are not going to change a thing. If 50 isn't enough, do the same thought-experiment with 100 soldiers. Or a thousand.

Clearly at some point, it is not disrespectful to point out that the president and Allawi are hypocrites. In fact, at some point, it is the duty of every American and certainly of every politician, to point out that things are not going well and to suggest that things have to change. "Centuries old diplomatic traditions" or not. Right?

The question then becomes: has Bush misrepresented the situation in Iraq enough to warrant Kerry's statements. You, and many Republicans, think not. I, John Kerry, and the families of some of the 1048 US casualties think it probably was.

It's not all black and white. Sometimes there are different shades of grey.

It doesn't mean that Kerry isn't fit for the presidency. He's pointing out a failed strategy and is suggesting that change is needed.

I see your point. Paul Krugman and the New York Times are such unbiased and even-handed sources of news and opinion.

It's funny how liberals always perceive a recounting of a liberal's public political statements and voting record as an angry and hateful attack, while their comparing President Bush to Hitler, as prominent Democrats have, is just oh so ho hum.

I heard President Bush state his record of the last four years very clearly. I didn't hear Kerry talk about his two decades in the Senate at all. I heard President Bush give a fairly sweeping plan for what he hopes to accomplish in the next four years. I only heard Kerry give vague generalities. Agree with him and approve of his record or not, Bush gave us his record and a plan for the next four years for us to vote for or against. Kerry's entire message was "I served in Vietnam 35 years ago and I'm not George W. Bush." Not exactly awe enspiring.

Liberals are panicking at this point because they know they have a candidate that not even Democrats are truly excited about. Kerry engenders little enthusiasm, no passion, and no "fight to the finish loyalty." He is simply the guy running against Bush. That is not enough to win the Presidency.

The election will not be a landslide, but I believe Bush will be able to start his celebration early on election night as it will not be close.
